Isla Verde dining make people remember this
A variety of excellent restaurants are available throughout the Isla Verde and elsewhere on the island. In recent years, Mesones Gastronomicos, a concept imported from Spain, have sprung throughout Puerto Rico with promotional help from the Puerto Rico Tourism authorities. These Mesones feature Puerto Rican and International dishes. A list of Mesones, their respective town or city, and their telephone numbers, is posted at the end of this section. Tipping is customarily 15% to 20% of the meal charge. In some instances, the service charge is added to the restaurant charge before presenting the bill to the guest. Many of the major U.S. fast food chains have outlets throughout Puerto Rico. These include Burger King®, Ponderosa®, McDonald's®, Denny's®, Kentucky Fried Chicken®, Bonanza®, Sizzler's®, Subway®, Little Caesar's®, Domino® Pizza, Pizza Hut® and many others. Delivery service is provided by many of them. Check your telephone directory and ads in local media. Also recommended as a dining option, Tantra serves creative martinis to crowds of interesting clients till very late (between 4 and 5am) every Tuesday to Saturday. After the mainstream menu ends, a different menu that includes platters of fried prawns and pizzas is made available, along with one of the most intriguing selections of martinis in town. Priced at between $8 and $9 each, they include versions with mango, passion fruit, and a personal favorite, a version with cinnamon and clove. Live belly dancers amuse the crowd on Friday and Saturday nights, and any night of the week, you can rent, for $20, a Mogul-style hookah pipe for every member of your dining table if the idea of playing pasha for a night appeals to you.
